Du und ich

The "Du und ich" (engl. "You and me") music video is a contribution to the 'Music from the masses' project by Matthias Fritsch.
Embracing the concept of the reverse to normal situation I took it as a challenge to make the music fit to the visuals, utilizing heavy editing, tempo changes (which was quite interesting bc it´s rarely used in todays music) and SFX.
The lyrics establish a hard contrast to the video, modulating the perception of both the lyrics and visuals.
What was romantic at some points gets bizarre, some others even have black humor, what was dark suddenly isn´t that dark anymore et vice versa.

The result work therefore becomes an entity of its own rather than a mere visualization of a song.
